Utica-Rome Speedway Frequently Asked Questions


Q: How much does it cost to attend Utica-Rome Speedway?

A: A weekly Friday night program is $15 for Adult Grandstand Admission and $13 for Seniors (ages 65 and over). Kids 11 and under are admitted into the grandstands FREE with an accompanying adult. Pit admission is $35 for Utica-Rome Speedway or NASCAR members and $40 for non-members. Prices will vary for special events.

Q: Is there a minimum age to enter the pits?

A: No. All those under the age of 18 must have a signed minor release form on file. Kids ages 6-12 pay $10 for pit admission. Children 5 and under pay $2.

Q: Do I need a NASCAR license to enter the pits?

A: No. Drivers in the Modified, Crate 602 Sportsman and Pro Stock divisions are required to possess a NASCAR license to compete. Temporary licenses are available. NASCAR licenses for all other pit participants are optional.

Q: Are any seats reserved?

A: No, there is currently no reserved seating. All seating is on a first come, first-served basis.

Q: Can I put a blanket down early?

A: Yes, gates are open during the day (prior to 5 p.m.) on race day to put blankets down in the grandstands.

Q: How do I purchase tickets?

A: Tickets are on sale at the speedway front gate starting at 5 p.m. every Friday. No prior purchase is required.

Q: Do you take credit cards?

A: No. Utica-Rome Speedway is a cash-only facility.

Q: Do you have an ATM?

A: Yes, we have ATMs on-site.

Q: Is there a charge for parking?

A: No. There is no charge for parking in our lot.

Q: Is there an FM station to listen to the announcer?

A: Yes, you can listen to the play-by-play of the races on 100.1 FM.

Q: Is food available?

A: Yes, we have two concession stands to service the facility. A full menu of food is available and Coca-Cola products are served at each stand.

The Utica-Rome Speedway concession menu includes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, cheese steaks, sausage, hot dogs, chicken spiedies, salt potatoes, homemade chili, French fries, cheese fries, chicken tenders, pizza logs, mozzarella sticks, pizza, Nachos, fried dough, popcorn, ice cream and candy.  There are weekly concession specials, as well.

Q: Do you sell beer?

A: Yes, there is a beer booth with a variety of beers and seltzers to choose from.

Q: Can I bring a cooler?

A: Coolers are permitted; however, they may not contain glass bottles or alcohol.

Q: Can I get live scoring at the track?

A: Yes, all lineups and scoring can be viewed live through the MyRacePass app.

Q: Can I watch the events live from home?

A: Yes, if you cannot make it to the races, streaming is available for every Utica-Rome Speedway race LIVE on FloRacing as part of the $150 annual subscription. Click here to watch!

Q: What time should I arrive?

A: Hot laps begin at 6:45 p.m., and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. every Friday night. With seating being first come, first-served; the sooner you arrive, the more preferred your seating will be.

Q: How long does the event last?

Timing of the event varies; however, it is always our goal to run a fast, efficient show, to get fans on their way home as soon as possible. The headline Modified feature is typically completed between 9:30 and 10 p.m.

Q: Do you have handicapped seating?

A: Yes, directly behind the flagstand there is a section of handicap seating.

Q: Are there souvenirs available?

A: Yes, we have a fully stocked merchandise trailer with tee-shirts, hoodies, and hats, plus other items such as safety glasses and earmuffs.

Q: Can I bring my Camper?

A: Overnight parking is permitted along the tree line in the parking lot. There are no hook-ups.
