Almost Time: Utica-Rome Speedway Kicks Off 2022 with April 22 Open Practice Session

VERNON, NY – It’s almost time!

For the first time in 2022, Utica-Rome Speedway opens its gates on Friday, April 22 with Open Practice for all divisions. Both the half-mile and the inner oval for Slingshots will be prepared for the test and tune session.

Sunoco Race Fuel – the official fuel of Utica-Rome Speedway – will be available for purchase on practice day.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. with rounds of practice beginning at 6:30 p.m. and concluding at 9:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission is FREE while Pit admission is $25 for speedway Members or $30 for Non-Members.

A rain date of Sunday, April 24 is reserved for practice day.

The following Friday, April 29, racing begins for the 2022 season at Utica-Rome Speedway in the ‘Honoring Alex’ Season Opener. The Sunoco Modifieds race for a $6,800 top-prize in honor of Alex Friesen.

The Modifieds will be joined by the Worthington Industries Crate 602 Sportsman, Next Generation Graphix Pro Stocks, Fastline Performance Limited Sportsman, and the Fonda Fair Four Cylinders to open the 2022 race season.

All ’22 Utica-Rome Speedway events will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv).
