Rain Forces DIRTcar Sportsman Series Event to be Rescheduled for July 7 at Utica-Rome Speedway

VERNON, NY – In a strange turn of events it rained again on Sunday forcing the Utica-Rome Speedway to cancel the night’s racing program which was to be presented by Community Car Wash and Pioneer Window Manufacturing. Relentless rain fell at the speedway overnight and it wasn’t forecasted to let up until early in the evening leaving track officials no choice but to throw in the towel.

The cancellation forces another shuffling of the schedule at Utica-Rome Speedway. After discussion with DIRTcar officials, the DIRTcar Sportsman Series event has been rescheduled for Sunday night, July 7. The DIRTcar Sportsman Series joins a full night of racing action for the DirtTrackDigest.com DIRTcar 358-Modifieds, the Ted’s Body Shop DIRTcar Pro Stocks as well as the Bernie’s Extreme Performance Parts Rookie Sportsman. Also on the schedule for the night’s program is the concluding event of the Donath Motor Worx Central New York Speedweek for the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints.

Racing action on July 7 with get underway at 6pm and is presented by Pioneer Window Manufacturing and The Official Energy Provider of the Utica-Rome Speedway Broedel Fuel Group. Cost for the program is $22 for adults, $20 for seniors/military/students will kids 16 and under just $5. Pit prices for the evening at $35 for DIRTcar members and $40 non-members.
