Clinton Tractor and Turn One LLC Present Tony Stewart and the All-Stars Circuit of Champions on Friday, July 12; Modified Open $2,000 to Win Event Completes Friday Night Dirt Double at Utica-Rome Speedway

VERNON, NY – The last time Tony Stewart competed at the Utica-Rome Speedway the former NASCAR star scored a fifth-place finish against the All-Star Circuit of Champions.

A lot has changed since that 2012 visit to the facility. Not only is Stewart retired from driving in the NASCAR, he is the owner of the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobile 1.

Stewart and the All Stars return this Friday night to resume their 2019 season at Utica-Rome Speedway is a show presented by Clinton Tractor and Turn One LLC.

Joining Stewart in the field is defending series champion Aaron Reutzel.  Reutzel currently leads the points by a mere 10 markers.  So far he’s been to victory lane five times in 2019.  The Clute, Texas, driver has to be one of the favorites heading into the event.

Dale Blaney sits second in series points as he has a resurgent season in 2019.  He’s scored three wins this season with the series.  His most recent came this past Saturday in the Lou Blaney Memorial at the Sharon Speedway.

Cory Eliason has a win on the tough Pennsylvania circuit this year and has been a strong competitor with the series.  He’s also has one series triumph to his credit while sitting third in the current point standings.

Former World of Outlaw regular Paul McMahan is still chasing his first series triumph while sitting fourth in the points with Pennsylvania native Brock Zearfoss rounding out the top five.

The last time the All-Star Circuit of Champions headed to the Utica-Rome Speedway former Knoxville Nationals winner Tim Shaffer visited the facility.

A strong field of 410 Sprint Cars is expected for the night’s racing program.

The Modifieds will join the All Stars on the schedule in a special open show.  Rules for the event have been posted on the Utica-Rome Speedway website at https://www.uticaromespeedway.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Open-Comp-Modified-Rules.pdf.  The winner of the 30-lap feature event will score a nice $2,000 payday.
