RAIN STRIKES UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY FOR SIXTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK, THURSDAY JUNE 9 RAIN DATE WILL BE USED

VERNON, NY- For an unbelievable six consecutive weeks, weather has taken its toll on another scheduled racing event at Utica-Rome Speedway.  With heavy overnight rains and a forecast calling for nearly a 100 percent chance of rain for the remainder of the day, track management decided to postpone the racing planned for Sunday June 5 until a pre-planned rain date of Thursday June 9. 

On Thursday, June 9, Charles Tibbitts Masonry, Gates-Cole Insurance, and Whelen Engineering will present a fast paced four division show of Gates-Cole Insurance Modifieds, SUNY Canton 602 Sportsman, Broedel Energy Open Sportsman, and G&I Homes of Vernon Pro Stocks.  Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with racing getting started at 7 p.m. 

The hold over G&I Homes of Vernon Pro Stocks feature event that was schedule to be completed during the June 5 event will now be reschedule to Sunday June 19.
