RAIN FINISHES OFF MONTH OF MAY WITH ANOTHER RAINOUT AT UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY

VERNON, NY- Heavy rains and thunderstorms, and a forecast that called for more, have forced Utica-Rome Speedway officials to cancel the racing program scheduled for Sunday May 29.  Safelite Auto Glass and Broedel Energy were to present the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints plus the Gates-Cole Insurance Modifieds, SUNY Canton 602 Sportsman, Broedel Energy Open Sportsman, and G&I Homes of Vernon Pro Stocks.  Mother Nature has effected all five schedule events for the month of May with no events completed.

The Lucas Oil Empire Sprints have rescheduled to Sunday June 12, making a blockbuster event for fans as they join the King of Dirt Series for the Sportsman and Pro Stocks.  The Gates-Cole Insurance Modifieds and Broedel Energy Open Sportsman will also be in action.

Racing will resume next Sunday, June 5, when Charles Tibbitts Masonry and Community Car Wash will present a complete show of Gates-Cole Insurance Modifieds, SUNY Canton 602 Sportsman, Broedel Energy Open Sportsman, and G&I Homes of Vernon Pro Stocks plus the makeup feature event for the G&I Homes of Vernon Pro Stocks from May 22.
