MOTHER NATURE HALTS RACING ACTION ON SUNDAY, MAY 1, AT THE UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY

VERNON, NY- The racing action scheduled for May 1 at the Utica-Rome Speedway has been cancelled due to rain and cold temperatures.  A full slate of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing featuring the Gates-Cole Insurance Modifieds, SUNY Canton 602 Sportsman, Broedel Energy Open Sportsman, and Pro Stocks plus the Pro Race Car Mod Lites was scheduled with Wilber-Duck Chevrolet, Rasmussen Rents, and Broedel Energy presenting the night’s activities. 

Weekly racing will resume on Sunday, May 8, with Bill Herrig Auto Sales and Mirabito Energy Products presenting another exciting night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series featuring the Gates-Cole Insurance Modifieds, SUNY Canton 602 Sportsman, Broedel Energy Open Sportsman, and Pro Stocks.  Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. with racing starting at 6 p.m.  Kids 16 and under will be admitted for free.
